Journal Selection

http://www.sensesofcinema.com

I have decided to follow Senses of Cinema because it is an interesting site that I have been engaged in for quite some time. That isn't to say that I can't find something new to explore. Part of the appeal of this site is that it has a wide variety of articles and essays that cover a very eclectic mix of film artists from all over the world. My favorite place to browse is the 'Great Directors' section.

Brian -
I found Senses of Cinema to offer lots of browsing opportunities - especially among top ten lists. And with this site, one can easily find something new to explore. What I like about it is variety of discussions and considerations - of histories, of makers, of forms. I am always learning something from this site.

When reporting on the site, I encourage you to take a look at their festival reports - and not just because a film department grad has authored one of those currently posted. I think they help offer a window on current artmaking and exhibition practice.

I look forward to your posts. Be sure to check out the guidelines for the next round of blogs now posted on the D2L site. They will be due 29 October.
